Privacy Policy

Who we are

Our website address is: https://januscpe.com

Janus CPE is a personal blog operated under a pseudonym, covering commercialization in the CPE/ISP industry. For inquiries, use the Contact page.

Affiliate links and advertising

Janus CPE participates in affiliate advertising programs. This means the site may contain affiliate links, and we may earn a commission when you click one of these links and make a purchase, at no additional cost to you.

As an Amazon Associate, Janus CPE earns from qualifying purchases.

When you click an affiliate link, the destination retailer (for example, Amazon) may place cookies on your device to track that the referral came from this site and to attribute any resulting purchase. These cookies are set and controlled by the retailer, not by Janus CPE, and are governed by that retailer’s own privacy policy. For Amazon, see the Amazon Privacy Notice at https://www.amazon.com/privacy.

We do not receive or store your payment details, order contents, or any personal information from these purchases. We only receive aggregate, anonymized reporting (such as the number of qualifying orders and total commissions) from the affiliate program.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors find and use the site — for example, which pages are viewed, how long visitors stay, and the general geographic region and device type of our audience. Google Analytics sets cookies and may collect information such as your IP address (typically anonymized), browser type, operating system, referring page, and on-site behavior.

This information is aggregated and used only to improve the site’s content and performance. We do not use it to personally identify individual visitors. Google’s use of this data is governed by the Google Privacy Policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

Advertising

Janus CPE may display advertising provided by third-party advertising networks. These networks may use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Any such advertising is governed by the respective network’s own privacy policy.

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it.

The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/.

After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
